It’s the final episode of Season 1! This week we are joined by Senior Distance Runner Olivia Moll. She talks about the D3 mindset versus the D1 mindset she had to have to succeed, the differences between running cross-country and track and field, and being involved with the Special Olympics Club at St Thomas.
This week we are joined by 5th year infielder Kyle Halverson from the baseball team. He talks about the run to the college world series in their final season as a D3 program, how he got convinced to play baseball instead of football at St Thomas, and how the idea that being a Tommie is like being part of a family isn’t a figure of speech for him.
Parker Feuerborn talks about how the transition from Division 3 to Division 1 inspired him to get better. The creative writing major also shares a poem with us and we talk about his favorite music, as well.
The Tommies’ shortstop talks about the advantages of being on the younger side of a big family, her mentality on the field, and why she chose St. Thomas. We also talk about bat flips, and when they are acceptable.
This week we are joined by senior golfer Jack Nasby. Jack grew up around golf and we talk about getting to play with his brother in college. He also tells us about the hole-in-one he only sorta counts, and how caddying has helped him succeed on and off the course.
This week we are joined by freshman golfer Isabelle Lynch. Isabelle was not only a successful prep golfer, but tennis player as well. We talk about playing those sports growing up, how playing in tournaments in those sports helped her growth, and playing an individual sport as part of a team. Jazz was involved in a lot of activities on campus, and he tells us about how his diverse campus life has helped him succeed.
